Halloween Neighborhood Bonfires 2026 👻
Saturday, October 31st from 4-8pm
It’s time to gather around the fire while the youngsters trick-or-treat! Join us for this year’s Halloween Bonfires, a growing Elvehjem Neighborhood tradition. 🎃
Several residents are already hosting bonfire “stops,” and we’d love to see even more neighbors join in. Want to host a bonfire stop of your own? We’re putting together a map of participating addresses to help everyone plan their evening and connect with fellow neighbors.
NEW: a neighborhood food drive 🥫
The LVM Community Support Team is coordinating a canned food drive for The River Food Pantry, Dane County’s busiest pantry, serving more than 4,000 people every week. Select houses along the route will be collecting donations, and the team’s goal is 800 pounds of food and hygiene products.
Most needed items:
Food: cooking oil, egg noodles, pasta, pasta sauce, rice, canned fruit, pop-top canned goods, microwavable meals, low-sodium items, gluten-free items
Hygiene: bar soap, body wash, deodorant, dish soap, shampoo, toilet paper, toothbrushes, menstrual products
Monetary donations are also welcome at riverfoodpantry.org/donate.
